My parents, in their late 50s, struggled to manage everything. I was in IIT at the time, far from home, and every time they called, I could hear their frustration. My mother even cried, saying her dream home wasn’t turning out the way she had imagined.

What was supposed to cost ₹30 lakhs ended up at ₹65 lakhs. Five years of struggle, wasted money, and countless headaches—just to build a simple home.I thought it was just our problem.

But after talking to friends, I realized everyone faced the same issues while building a house.When my brother planned to build another floor, I decided to take charge. I got involved, learned how to manage labor and materials, and made sure everything was done right. That’s when I understood—the real problem was not bad luck, but a broken system.I was doing my Ph.D. then, but this thought wouldn’t leave my mind. So, I made a bold decision—I left my Ph.D. and started working in construction to learn the industry from within.
